About White Snus

The writer

My name is Astrid Falk. I write from Stockholm about Nordic nicotine culture — the history, the vocabulary and the products, from loose snus to the all-white pouch. I grew up in a country where the snus fridge hums in every corner shop, and I have spent enough years around the subject to know how much of what is written about it in English is either a sales pitch or a guess.

I am a writer, not a physician, and this site never offers health advice. What it offers is precision: what the words mean, where the products came from, and what is actually printed on the cans.

What this site covers

Editorial method

Every product fact on this site — nicotine strength, pouch count, format, country of manufacture — is checked against the live product page of the retailer we link to before publication. Where a fact cannot be verified, it is left out rather than guessed. Historical and regulatory statements are kept to what is widely established and stated at a deliberately general level; laws on nicotine products change quickly, and a heritage site should not pretend to be a legal database.

How the site is funded

White Snus links to products at nicopodstore.com, an online nicotine pouch retailer. Those links carry referral parameters, and this site benefits when readers use them. That relationship pays for the writing; it does not decide it. No manufacturer sees or approves content before publication, and no page on this site will ever tell you a nicotine product is good for you.
